PRICING DATA ANALYST 

 

Summary

 

Candidate must be well-versed in analyzing pricing across the enterprise who has a solid 3-5+ years of work experience You will be joining a dynamic young team that is responsible for ensuring pricing is accurate across Canada. In addition, the successful individual must have excellent communication skills, is highly organized and is a problem solver/critical thinker who works well across cross-functional teams to drive results. 

 

This is a new role in leading us to establish strategic pricing function through extensive data and analytics. You will be a data savvy individual with strong capability and comfort working with multiple data sources and bringing them together to create meaning and value. Initial focus is on standardization, control, and centralization of existing decentralized processes. Then combining these efficiencies with analytics to support the business and Senior Management in tactical and strategic decision making.

 

This is a high visibility position as you will be networking with key sponsors and stakeholders from all business segments to understand and meet their requirements. 

 

As a Pricing Data Analyst, you will report directly to the Canadian Pricing Manager.

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Support and lead the standardization, control, and centralization efforts of the decentralized pricing functions.
  • Uploading and verifying mass price changes via list price or discount changes while ensuring all processes are SOX compliant (controls)
  • Support the development of short term / long term pricing strategies which impact JELD-WEN’s Canadian business
  • Help create, implement, and maintain price lists and discounts for all Canadian regions
  • Deploy key business strategies such as root cause analysis to drive process improvements to ensure accurate pricing and discounts are applied throughout the enterprise.
  • Lead analytical work using custom queries and tools to support key business decisions specifically for different regions as well as seasonal pricing. 
  • Source, develop and maintain Visual Dashboards for portfolio reporting to track strategic Key Performance Indicators. 
  • Support numerous pricing-related projects across the enterprise and use proven methodologies to problem solve and remove roadblocks.
  • Prepares and analyzes detailed financial reporting including monthly variances, forecasting and competitive analysis.  Work with stakeholders to automate and improve data collection and screening/cleaning to meet business needs.
  • Thoroughly learn JELD-WEN’s window and doors offerings to ensure strong product knowledge when creating/analyzing different regional/seasonal pricing strategies
  • Participates in the development of enhanced or new processes to improve internal controls and overall price management and validation.

 

Experience & Education

 

  • Undergraduate degree in a discipline that focuses on problem solving and quantitative analysis such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance/Account or Business.
  • Minimum 3-5+ years experience in a pricing or data analyst-related position.  Experience, specifically in a manufacturing capacity would be an asset.
  • At least 2 years of experience using industry-standard visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - using Microsoft Excel to bring multiple data sources together and produce meaningful outputs.
  • Very strong knowledge and prior experience in using multiple query tools to extract relevant customizable data from ERPs/databases
  • Strong attention to detail and process management as pertains to IT and Business standards such as SOX Compliance and AGILE.
  • Strong communication skills required as the position requires coordination across multiple plants to ensure processes are being followed and audit issues are fixed.
  • Proactive go-getter who can properly time manage their daily tasks as well as network with all stakeholders with timely clear communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while meeting key milestones and deadlines.
  • Works equally well within teams as well as individually.
  • Must be fluent in English, spoken, written, comfortable and clear presenting to an audience
