 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair of all equipment
  • Learn all components and operations associated with assigned Department.
  • Learn the use of all tools and machines associated with assigned Department.
  • Required to understand & perform all positions in the assigned Department.
  • Assist in the training of co-workers on equipment, methods, parts for the assigned Department
  • Communicate instructions from Group Manager to co-workers as required.
  • Perform Maintenance on machines in the assigned Department as required.
  • Wear all necessary personal protective equipment and ensure workforce complies with Cardinal Rules
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned Department.
  • Promote and participate in a safe working environment at all times
  • Run startup meetings
  • Problem solve using JELD-WEN’s Excellence Module
  • Give updates to manager for standard operating procedures.
  • Any other duties assigned by your Group Manager



  • 433A Millwright or 442A Industrial Electrician
  • Ability to use machinery & read and comprehend work orders a definite asset.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and execute JELD-WEN Vision and Values
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Knowledge of product and production processes a definite asset.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of ambition & initiative
  • Must be quality conscious
  • Internal Applicants must advise their manager and must be in their current role for at least one year
  • Ability to communicate CBA details to all associates

  • Reporting of Incidents for WSIB
  • Reporting of Harassment and Violence
  • Reporting of absences
  • Phones – must have your device at all times
  • Link between the plant floor and management
  • Reduce gossip and rumours – ask your Manager for clarification for any questions/concerns
  • You are an extension of the Group Manager

  • PDCA’s and RCA involvement will increase
  • Audit time tickets and report mistakes

  • Assist with providing Group Manager performance review data
  • Assign appropriate to staff to cell areas
  • Work with vacation management – ensure there is coverage with temps etc.
