Position: Shipping Clerk

Reports to: Shipping Manager

Location: Winnipeg MB

Shift: Evening

Summary:

Based in Winnipeg, this individual will report directly to the Shipping Manager.  The shipping clerk is responsible for accurately documenting incoming and outgoing freight while fulfilling customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating packing lists for outbound local and long-haul shipments using our ERP system.
• Interacting with customers daily and assisting with inquiries via phone calls and emails.
• Booking freight, choosing carriers, and tracking shipments for product being couriered or sent LTL.
• Correspondence between shipping and production.
• Maintain the trailer service report.
• Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information.
• Works well with shipping team to complete orders on time.
• Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify.
• Assist with continuous Improvement.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Other tasks and duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Excellent typing and data entry skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Must be very punctually and reliable.
• Exemplary Customer-Facing and Customer Service Skills.
• Experience in a Warehouse Environment, Strong Computer Skills, Detail-Oriented, Organizational Skills, Deliveries Experience.
• Highly experience with spreadsheet or database software such as Outlook, Microsoft Excel and word.
• 3-4 years of prior experience in Shipping and Freight Experience, Self-Motivated, Creative Problem-Solving, Enthusiasm, Team-Player, Warehouse Organization, Leadership.
