Job Description Summary:

The Inventory Control Coordinator performs and executes daily inventory control measures and auditing tasks to ensure and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy both physically and systematically.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee systematic receiving process to ensure system integrity and data retention compliance.
  • Work with accounts payable to analyze and resolve receipt and costing variations.
  • Facilitate counts; control and organization of inventory levels for stock and raw materials
  • Process daily inventory adjustments when variances are identified and validated.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of inventory variances and initiate action for issue resolution.
  • Analyze cycle count and physical count procedures and perform audits to ensure results have been updated systematically and recorded accurately.
  • Develop and update daily material shortage reports.
  • Assist with the determination, analysis, and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory
  • Assist to facilitate quarterly inventory counts and audits
  • As directed by the Materials Manager, train, coordinate, and review work of Materials/Receiving department staff

 

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in related field or 2 years related work experience preferred
  • Effective presentation, report writing skills and the ability to work individually
  • Highly conscientious and attentive; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to professional development and knowledge acquisition • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
