STANDARD JOBS:

 

  • Knowledge of all components and operations associated with assigned Department.
  • Knowledge of the use of all tools and machines associated with assigned Department.
  • Required to understand & perform all positions in the assigned Department.
  • Review production paperwork and assist in distributing required work to the production floor.
  • Ensure quality of all parts entering and leaving the assigned Department.
  • Assist in the training of co-workers on equipment, methods, parts for the assigned Department
  • Assist Group Manager with sequencing of materials in department.
  • Assist Group Manager in maintaining acceptable inventory levels for the assigned Department.
  • Work towards the prevention of loss of materials.
  • Communicate instructions from Group Manager to co-workers as required.
  • Perform minor maintenance on machines in the assigned Department as required.
  • Maintain production metrics on facilities boards and report out when Manager is away
  • Update SQDCIM board
  • Run startup meetings
  • Review production status reports and paperwork
  • Use MS office
  • Problem solve using JELD-WENS Excellence Module
  • Prepare and update standard operating procedures
  • Assist Group Manager with scrap reporting as required.
  • Move associates around the department as dictated by Group Manager
  • Any other duties assigned by your Group Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Must understand and follow the JELD-WEN values
  • Ability to use machinery & read and comprehend work orders a definite asset.
  • Mechanically inclined disposition an asset.
  • Basic computer knowledge a definite asset.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and have a positive disposition.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of product and production processes a definite asset.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of ambition & initiative.
  • Must be quality conscious.
  • Ability to assist with production whenever necessary.
  • Wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned Department.
