Fabricator

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Fabricator to join our growing team.

DUTIES:

• Work cooperatively as part of the maintenance team
• Complete high-quality fabrication and welding tasks
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as requested
• Perform daily equipment inspection reports
• Perform basic mechanical maintenance tasks
• Assist maintenance team in managing the inventory of spare tools and equipment
• Building maintenance tasks
• Rotate between day/evening shift, and overtime as required
• Comply with JELD-WEN EH&S requirements and legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs
• Any other duties as assigned by your lead hand or manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 –5 years welding or fabrication experience
• Minimum of a grade 12 education
• Welding course certificate
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work outside in all weather situations
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship
• Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to use power tools
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints
• Willingness to take improvement training courses, travel if required
