Shift Supervisor

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team in Vääksy.

We are looking for a Shift Supervisor for our Vääksy factory. It is a great opportunity to join our team!

As a shift supervisor, you will report directly to the production manager and be responsible for the entire production chain. In addition to supervising the value stream area, you will act as a close person for approximately 25 employees. In this role, you will also be responsible for the productivity of the value stream area and ensure that safety and quality standards are followed.

Responsibilities

• Operate in accordance with JELD-WEN values, conducting ethical and safe business, investing in people, inspiring our customers through innovation, keeping promises and improving every day
• Comply with compliance standards and ensure that operations are impeccable
• Monitor and manage the entire production chain for the designated area
• Be responsible for the performance and quality of the designated area and for the continuous improvement of these standards
• Lead development projects and work according to LEAN principles 
• Ensure the productivity and schedule of your production area
• Work smoothly in collaboration with different stakeholders, such as production planning, purchasing, product management and safety
• Communicate and collaborate with external stakeholders, such as material suppliers and PEFC auditors

Specification

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• You have a Bachelor's degree in technical or commercial engineering or equivalent work-related skills
• Experience in project management and LEAN is an advantage
• You are a result-oriented and practical manager with strong communication skills
• You have the ability to manage conflicts and take responsibility
• You have solid experience working with MS Office tools
• Fluent in both Finnish and English, written and spoken
