Your role


As the regional Head of CI, you will lead and deploy Continuous Improvement initiatives across Europe and business groups to improve the bottom line performance. As responsible for the region, you will have a crucial impact on fostering a  sustainable Lean culture at the sites. Reporting directly to the CI Director of Europe, the scope of the role is to generate operational improvements using CI tools to meet operational excellence targets. You will work closely with the plant managers in the Northeast region and provide organisational support to the regional Operations Directors.


This is a hybrid role and can be based at one of the locations in Europe. Travel activity is expected in this role.


What your impact will be


  • Continuously develop a CI culture across Europe
  • Effectively deploy Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, business process assessment and deploy the systemic improvement of standard work practices and procedures
  • Drive positive transformation throughout the Europe wide region, build and mentor effective teams and drive employee engagement, involvement and development
  • Challenge and drive the plant managers in productivity improvements
  • Coach, mentor, and educate employees to develop, support and sustain a CI culture – establish improvement as a way of life
  • Plan and deliver CI projects  across the Northeast region to deliver business cost reduction targets
  • Develop and challenge the CI team to embed the lean tools, techniques and leadership behaviours - be an ambassador for the CI programme
  • Encourage knowledge-sharing across factories to accelerate improvements and benefits


What you'll need to succeed


  • Experience in a previous CI role within a manufacturing environment in a global matrix organisation
  • Well-versed in the use of Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work Cellular Flow, Mistake Proofing, Total Productive Maintenance
  • University Degree in Operations, Engineering, Management or an equivalent vocational qualification
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification is an advantage
  • Proven capability of delivering transformational change in a multi-site/ multi-cultural role
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation, from shop floor to Regional Operation Directors
  • Financial acumen with the experience of P&L and understanding of operating cost and financial performance
  • Analytical, result-oriented and collaborative
  • Sound IT skills are essential for this role
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is required, and fluency in Finish or Swedish is desirable
