YOUR ROLE  

In your role as a Continuous Improvement Leader, you will work closely with the production organization and leadership team at our site in Vääksy, Finland. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, the scope of the role is to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the Vääksy manufacturing site to deliver improvement on the bottom-line performance.  In this role, you will be developing and embedding a LEAN culture within the manufacturing site.  Your role will act as a key resource to the Factory Manager and Regional Continuous Improvement Lead on all continuous improvement related matters. You will be responsible for successfully implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and ensuring a systemic improvement of work practices and procedures.  Given the scope of the role, you will enjoy broad internal and external stakeholder collaboration with the sales, production and finance departments.

  • Identify, lead and deploy Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across Vääksy plant to deliver quantified bottom line productivity performance improvement.
  • Delivery of site operational productivity and PSQDCI performance to plan
  • Workforce CI capability
  • Change management/ cultural change – CI engagement levels
  • Support and educate employees to sustain the continuous improvement culture in Vääksy factory – establish improvement as a way of life.
  • Develop and deliver Productivity pipeline (improvement projects and savings).
  • Plan and deliver continuous improvements in projects to achieve business cost reduction targets.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement from a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Sound knowledge of LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Substantial experience working with LEAN tools (e.g., 5s, Value Stream Mapping etc.)
  • A degree in Engineering or an equivalent vocational qualification
  • LEAN certification is an advantage.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and self-driven.
  • Experience with project management and change management.
  • Strong IT skills are essential. 
  • Analytical, structured and team-oriented.
  • Possess commitment and enthusiasm to drive change. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English is a prerequisite for this role.
