Position Summary

The Vice President, National Accounts Sales – The Home Depot is responsible for the strategic leadership, revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction of JELD-WEN’s partnership with The Home Depot, one of the company’s largest and most strategic retail customers. This role serves as the primary leader and executive sponsor for the account, overseeing sales strategy, customer engagement, business planning, operational execution, and team performance. The position partners cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Care, Field Sales, and Digital Commerce to drive sustainable growth, strengthen customer partnerships, and deliver best-in-class experiences for Pro customers, contractors, associates, and consumers.

 

Strategic Account Leadership – The Home Depot

  • Serve as the executive leader and primary point of accountability for JELD-WEN’s business relationship with The Home Depot.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term growth strategies that increase sales, market share, profitability, and customer engagement across relevant product categories.
  • Lead annual business planning, Joint Business Planning, Quarterly Business Reviews, customer negotiations, and strategic initiatives with senior Home Depot leadership.
  • Use data analytics, sales enablement, and agile decision-making routines to drive performance and respond to evolving market dynamics.
  • Anticipate competitive pressures, customer needs, and emerging market trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate business risk.

 

Revenue Growth & Commercial Execution

  • Drive revenue growth across retail, Pro, eCommerce, special order, and stocked programs within The Home Depot channel.
  • Lead customer-specific growth initiatives including assortment optimization, category expansion, merchandising enhancements, Pro customer activation, and channel development strategies.
  • Advance customer-centric initiatives such as DFC program support, special order catalog optimization, and tailored fulfillment solutions.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure business objectives, growth targets, service expectations, and profitability goals are achieved.

 

Customer Experience & Partnership Management

  • Champion a customer-first culture focused on delivering exceptional experiences for The Home Depot, Pro customers, contractors, installers, associates, and end users.
  • Lead initiatives that improve fulfillment performance, service levels, product accessibility, special order execution, and digital customer experience.
  • Partner with Home Depot stakeholders to identify opportunities that strengthen the strategic partnership and create mutual value.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for key customer opportunities, operational issues, and strategic business decisions.

Product Commercialization & Program Leadership

  • Lead the launch, commercialization, and promotion of new products, programs, and strategic investments within The Home Depot channel.
  • Ensure executional readiness through merchandising support, associate training, sales enablement tools, in-store readiness, digital content, and program activation.
  • Drive adoption of innovative products and solutions, including programs such as the modern ventilated panel door, Quick Ship / Fast Ship opportunities, DFC assortment optimization, and Pro-focused initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams to align product strategy, pricing, positioning, availability, and customer-facing sales tools.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Care, Finance, Digital Commerce, Field Sales, and Account Management to deliver aligned customer solutions.
  • Influence organizational priorities and resource allocation to support Home Depot growth objectives, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead cross-functional issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts impacting inventory availability, fulfillment, customer care, sales execution, and program performance.
  • Build clear communication routines that create alignment across internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams.

 

Financial & Sales Operations Management

  • Own customer P&L performance, sales forecasting, business planning, pricing strategy alignment, programming, and profitability management for The Home Depot business.
  • Oversee sales operations processes including demand forecasting, SIP payout administration, business reporting, performance analytics, and operating cadence.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to ensure transparent reporting, disciplined investment decisions, and clear accountability for results.
  • Use sales data, margin performance, customer trends, and operational metrics to guide decision making and prioritize resources.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national accounts team supporting The Home Depot business across retail, Pro, special order, eCommerce, merchandising, operations, and account management activities.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, customer focus, innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Build organizational capability through succession planning, talent development, performance management, and leadership coaching.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and support employee engagement, communication effectiveness, and ongoing capability building.

Executive owner of JELD-WEN’s strategic partnership with The Home Depot.

Responsible for sales growth, profitability, market share expansion, operational execution, and customer satisfaction across multiple product categories.

Leads cross-functional work across retail, Pro, special order, eCommerce, merchandising, customer care, supply chain, operations, field sales, finance, and account management.

Stakeholder Influence

Influences senior leadership across JELD-WEN and The Home Depot to advance shared business priorities.

Team Leadership

Builds and develops a high-performing team with clear accountability, communication routines, and performance expectations.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including significant big-box retail, national account, or strategic customer management experience. Experience managing The Home Depot business is a plus.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale retail partnerships, customer negotiations, annual business planning, and executive-level customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence across the organization, and drive results through indirect leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, forecasting, pricing alignment, profitability management, and sales operations discipline.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, relationship-building, negotiation, and change leadership skills.
  • Experience in building products, manufacturing, home improvement, or related industries preferred.
