YOUR ROLE
Are you happy to be at the centre of the action? This is a fast paced, varied and exciting role which is a huge part of our business and international supply chain.
You will be part of our supply chain planning team in Tallinn, Estonia, where you will be responsible for overseeing the supply planning process for the 10+ manufacturing sites within the Northern European region. Reporting directly to the Supply Planning Manager, Europe, the Supply Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring that capacity and finished goods inventory availability meets future customer demand.
Your role will be a key resource towards our manufacturing sites, as you will play a vital part in ensuring business excellence levels are maintained in the supply planning operations. In this role, you will also lead and facilitate IBP Supply planning processes to ensure our manufacturing sites have the capacity and material supply to support the demand.
Given the scope of the role, you will enjoy broad stakeholder collaboration with the production, sales, distribution and finance departments.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Balance supply with demand over the short- and long-term planning horizon for multiple plants and/or businesses.
- Ensuring adequate supplies of all resources necessary to support the supply of products and services to meet customer needs at an optimal cost
- Interact with business, sales, marketing, demand management, finance, and manufacturing leadership to effectively plan the resources required to meet anticipated demand.
- Ensuring continuous improvement of all product supply influenced key metrics and business results.
- Presenting rolling 24-month production and inventory plans by product family for approval in the monthly IBP process meetings
- Educate, train, and develop an organisation that maintains valid, feasible material plans and production schedules for finished goods and component assemblies following Oliver Wight Class A Business Excellence policies and procedures
- Ensure that all master planners, capacity planners, material planners and logistics planners are educated in and are following Class A best practices
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Several years of experience from a similar role with an international company, including experience in driving IBP/S&OP process improvements
- A university degree in business or a technical field preferably supplemented with an APICS/ASCM certification or similar
- Strong analytical skills accompanied by attention to detail
- A self-starter with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using personal knowledge and relevant tools
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to stakeholders on all organisational levels
- Ability to appreciate different perspectives and experiences and foster genuine consensus among groups from different backgrounds and functional organisations
- Strong financial acumen to understand the implications of the plans on the profitability of the company
- Mastery of MS Excel and experience with BI tools (PowerBI etc.) and planning software (SAP, Kinaxis etc.)
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a prerequisite for this role, understanding a Scandinavian language would be an advantage
