SITE SERVICE SUPERVISOR

JELD-WEN, one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers, is seeking an individual for the position of Site Service Supervisor. This position requires at least 25% travel and overnight travel availability. This highly visible customer facing position will provide “World Class” service to internal and external customers.  The Site Service Supervisor acts as an extension to the Site Service Manager to ensure that field services are effective and customer requirements are met.  This includes monitoring and improving the day to day of service activities in their related region, personnel management, employee training, process development, logistics, and escalated case handling and safety compliance.

Training consists of safety, service expectations, report writing, window identification and terminology, service techniques and customer care policy.

You will also receive company provided service vehicle tools, cell phone and tablet. All meals and travel expenses are company paid when traveling overnight.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide onsite management of service jobs requiring multiple technicians or special needs.
  • Train Field personnel to operate safely, effectively, professionally and efficiently.
  • Report product, personnel and construction issues.
  • Delegate field service practices.
  • Coordinate and develop all Field Service Technicians
  • Report customer feedback.
  • Follow JELD-WEN policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain written product and process SOP’s.
  • Maintain all safety compliance and testing equipment records.
  • Report daily field activities to the Field Service Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Weekly travel with overnights and over-time is a requirement with this position, along with flexible working hours.
  • High School Diploma or HSED.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record.
  • 5 years field service technician experience (or experience in the same or similar industry is a plus.)
  • Must have carpentry skills, be able to use hand and power tools and measuring devices.
  • The ability to lift 50-75 lbs., climb, lift, pull; and safety perform tasks on a ladder, scaffolding, or other raised devices.
  • Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices and JELD-WEN products.
  • Understand construction practices.
  • Strong customer service skills, excellent communication (including telephone and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
  • Be dependable, self-motivator, the ability to problem solve and contribute to building a positive team environment.
  • Ability to motivate others, with excellent leadership and multitasking skills.
  • Quality trainer, with strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
