Senior Material Handler

The Senior Material Handler (forklift driver) will be responsible for unloading trucks or be asked to supply production areas with product or remove finished goods to a warehouse storage area. This individual will be responsible for moving frames, panels, and glass as needed. This individual will also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the forklift before and during use. Must feel comfortable driving a forklift in a busy and congested environment. 

Role and Responsibilities:

2+ years of experience in forklift operation is highly preferred but not required
Must pass the JELD-WEN Forklift Test both written and hands on.
Work with production lines in offloading finished product and staging glass
Follow all safety procedures when operating the forklift
Communicate needed overtime with your manager on a frequent basis
Always maintain a clean and orderly forklift, completing forklift inspections
Drive a flatbed truck at times in and out of the building
Load finished product into racks
Offload trailers with materials and handle packing slip appropriately
Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas, lean principles.
Load finished product onto trailers
Able to work overtime on a frequent basis if needed
