Position: Set-Ups (Skilled Production)

JOB DESRIPTION:    

• Reports to setup shift manager
• Communicate and display proper safety procedures for all jobs and positions on the line
• Ability to read and use tape measure. Ability to keep up with production flow. Ability to read and understand production schedules. Ability to understand quality standards. Ability to perform each job in the Setup department, mulls, slope sill, flush fins, stucco, grove filler, bays etc.....
• Ability to properly coordinate with (Other Managers through out the plant) to accomplish goals.
• Other Duties: Clean and maintain equipment and area on a daily basis.
• Setup is responsible for keeping the production in their area running. This may be accomplished by:
• Stock and cut all inventory of the department material.
• Communicate to Manager when inventory levels are low in Inventory Area.
• Have all machines ready to run when shift starts.
• Monitor all areas of the department. Replace material when needed.
• Communicate with shipping (priority for loading of the trucks)
• Coordinate with other department for any necessary HOT (pickups).
• Coordinate with day shift worker if any pickups needed, or make pick-ups yourself if needed.
• Communicate with Day & Swing Setup Line Manager and Maintenance Department Manager when machines are having mechanical problems.
• Perform any reasonable task requested by the manager of the line.
