Maintenance Parts Specialist

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Maintenance Parts Specialist to join our growing team.

Summary: The Maintenance Parts Specialist is responsible for purchasing and allocating parts, maintaining details records of inventory, and overseeing the timely delivery of parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain current inventory of parts and supplies.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts shipment.
• Utilize technology to track and document parts usage and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers to procure necessary parts and pricing.
• Perform data entry tasks to update inventory records and generate reports.
• Assist Maintenance associates with parts identification and selection for repairs and maintenance. 
• Write requisition to order parts as needed.
• Update Storeroom part descriptions.
• Forecast and order parts needed for upcoming projects.
• Add new parts to inventory as needed.
• Write and update Storeroom SOP’s.
• Complete monthly and annual reports.
• Clean up and throw away storage files yearly per JW retention policy.
• Unload delivery truck to receive and stock orders.
• Maintain historical files.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, or processes.
• Must have analytical knowledge to identify solutions to issues and solve problems.
• Ability to walk, stand and lift heavy objects for an extended amount of time.
