This position is responsible for troubleshooting the company's equipment and making repairs in a timely manner to ensure minimal production down time. This includes repairing equipment parts, performing equipment retrofits and modifications. This position will be for 2nd shift – 445pm – 315am with initial training on 1st shift 630AM-445PM.




  1. Responsible for installing, replacing and/or changing machine parts as needed, inclusive of balancing and aligning equipment.
  2. Repairs items using welding and machining tools.
  3. Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment per the CMMS system.
  4. Keeps accurate and detailed records and Comments on CMMS system.
  5. Quickly troubleshoots and repairs equipment to minimize machine down time.
  6. Observes mechanical operation of all equipment to determine machine conformance.
  7. Responsible for placing purchase requests to ensure parts management
  8. Performs basic facility maintenance inclusive of the following:
  1. Performs basic plumbing work in replacing and various Plumbing
  2. Repairs concrete floors, steps, stairs, and sidewalks Replaces damaged paneling and floor tiles, hang doors, and installs door locks
  1. Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and notifies manager when reorder is needed
  2. Gathers the necessary information, reads schematics, blueprints, work orders and associated documentation to perform the duties.
  3. Conforms with safety regulations per plant policies and OSHA guidelines, including utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and associated safety equipment necessary to repair and maintain machinery and equipment, and perform all job duties in a safe and effective manner.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned by management




    1. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    2. The employee must be able to operate Lift Truck and operate hand tools.
    3. The employee must occasionally and/or frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds or more.
    4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


    1. Regularly scheduled for 40 hours per week, 4 days per week / 10 hours per day, Mon-Thur
    2. 2nd Shift: 445pm – 315am
    3. Overtime as required




    1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machines, vibrations and loud noises. All safety protocols including OSHA guidelines as mentioned above are mandatory.






  1. Must possess a valid Driver's License and have a good driving record.
  2. Must be fluent in safety procedures to include all things related to maintenance and repair of production machinery and ensure equipment guarding compliance.
  3. Must have knowledge and ability to perform all aspects of LOTO requirements to meet state and federal standards.
  4. Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder operation and the ability to rebuild them is required.
  5. Experience with VFD’s and PLCs preferred.
  6. Must possess understanding and knowledge of low voltage DC circuits, 110 through 480 Volt AC single and three phase.
  7. Ability to operate all production related machinery to include electric scissor lift, electric pallet jack, forklift and overhead crane.
  8. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  9. Must be well organized and be able to self-manage to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed. 
  10. Must have good communications skills and be able to communicate with many levels of personnel effectively and tactfully in a variety of situations and environments.
  11. Must be able to work overtime as needed
  12. Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  13. Metallurgy and welding experience is a plus. 


  1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. An Associate's Degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a successful millwright or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
