JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Sr Manager, Product Line Mgmt to join our growing team. 

 

 

THE ROLE

 

Sr. Product Manager is a key role within JELD-WEN. This role is responsible for managing strategic projects for Doors & Windows traditional channel and managing the development, strategy, and lifecycle of critical system components. This role requires a combination of business acumen, market research, and strong communication skills. The Sr. Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, pricing, finance, PLMs, and marketing, to ensure the successful delivery of projects to drive business growth.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Price Positioning:
  • This individual will play a key role in shaping data-driven decisions by gathering market intelligence, analyzing pricing trends, and developing frameworks to optimize profitability and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor industry benchmarks, macroeconomic indicators, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Deliver clear and concise insights and recommendations to leadership through presentations and reports.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of pricing strategies and adapt as needed.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand product positioning, differentiation, and pricing strategies.

 

  1. Portfolio Management – Traditional Customers:
  • Analyze sales trends, market data, and customer insights to inform assortment planning.
  • Provide input to Product Managers and Channel Marketing on market needs for product gaps and promotional opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities to enhance customer experience.

 

  1. Product Owner QQL
  • Define vision and roadmap for QQL (traditional ordering platform).
  • Prioritize backlog and ensure that it is aligned with business value.
  • Translate customer needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor user behavior to inform data-driven decisions.

 

  1. Product Development and Management:
  • Develop strategies for critical components (Glass, System and Packaging) to ensure success of product lines.
  • Work closely with engineering and marketing teams to define product requirements and features for New Product Development.
  • Manage Product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancements and updates.

 

  1. Stakeholder Management:
  • Present strategies, market updates, and business cases product and finance leaders, and obtain buy-in and support.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, gather feedback, and incorporate customer insights into product planning and development for specific projects

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in product management or merchandizing for a minimum of 7 years.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaboration and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with product management tools, such as product roadmap, project management, and analytics platforms and financial KPIs such as Standard Cost, Margin, Profitability, EBITDA.
