JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Service Manager to join our growing team.

 

The Opportunity

As a Site Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of VPI service support in North America that delivers best in class care to our customers. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

 

What You Will Do

Safety

  • Represent and progress VPI’s commitment to safety. Ensure all service team members are trained and adhering to safety protocols.

Quality

  • Ensure all service work is being completed per specification.
  • Work closely with engineering and production to understand processes and requirements.
  • Track and report on product failure modes and associated quality costs.
  • Manage internal and external service team metrics ensuring that service team is performing at the highest possible level.

Customer Support

  • Manage and support supervisors to support customer needs.
  • Build and sustain systems that ensure timely and accurate scheduling is completed for all service locations.
  • Manage Service teams on-site relationships with the general contractors or site contacts.
  • Develop and manage plans to improve efficiency and productivity of inside and outside teams.
  • Support field supervisors to provide necessary training and tools to perform field service as required.
  • Work with sales and senior management to understand business growth and service demand.
    • Create business case as required to support staffing changes to continue to provide best in class service.
  • Work closely with VPI Operations to provide consistent on-time delivery of service materials.

 

Team development

  • Develop & coach service teams both technically and how to interface with customer and job sites.
  • Support field supervisors with training Service Technicians on principle job duties, safety & quality.
  • Observe work performance of each employee supervised monthly for compliance with established safety rules.

 

Who You Are

  • Technical degree preferred.
  • Fenestration experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years warranty service technician experience or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of remote management experience.
  • Travel - Up to 20% travel may be required.

Expected pay for this role is between $93,800.00 to $156,400.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.​
