JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Production Scheduler 2 to join our growing team.
OVERVIEW:
The position is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and the delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines. Under limited supervision, this position will be responsible for procurement of various commodities using an MRP system. This position will plan, purchase, expedite and negotiate materials in support of production schedules. This position is also responsible for maintaining the MRP system data, cycle counts and their integrity, as well as preparing and analyzing related reports.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purchasing material or inventory items to support production.

Reviewing purchase orders for accuracy and resolving errors as required.

Maintaining appropriate inventory levels within approved guidelines.

Monitoring price increases.

Interacting with suppliers to ensure correct materials and parts are delivered on-time, at the quoted pricing and quantity.

Effectively communicates areas of concern and escalations to appropriate purchasing individuals, departments and suppliers.

Participates in department process improvement.

Performs daily cycle counts.

Performs root cause analysis.

Meets assigned deadlines to support department.

Provides material deadlines to support company needs.

Provide coverage in other areas of the department in an on needed basis.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Skills:

Strong organizational, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments and/or projects.

Sound written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routine reports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively.

Must possess the ability to navigate and select required data from various information systems.

Must able to self-manage in order to insure deadlines are met and projects are completed.

Must have the ability to operate and maintain an ethical and professional relationship within the company and as a representative of the company.

Must possess strong computer skills including familiarity with MRP systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint.
Experience:
-
Bachelor's Degree; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience in manufacturing planning, purchasing, negotiations, or supplier relations is preferred.

Experience utilizing an MRP system for configured assemblies is preferred.

Expected pay for this role is between $44,100.00 to $73,500.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
