Principal Job Responsibilities:

 

Safety

  • Represent and progress VPI’s commitment to Safety.
  • Ensure all safety observations are completed per standard work.
  • All team members have the knowledge and are adhering to their safety requirements for their position every day.

 

Objective measurements:

  • OSHA Rating.
  • Safety WIG (Wildly Important Goal) sessions are active and sustained.
  • Schedule, meet & sustain attainment targets.
  • Productivity and efficiency projects tracked and maintained on a routine basis.
  • Support the progress towards the company's goals and initiatives.

 

Quality

  • Ensure all products are being built per specification.
  • Ensure all quality systems are being sustained in all value streams.
  • All team members have the knowledge and are adhering to standard processes.
  • All quality systems are improving and sustaining.
  • WIG (Wildly Important Goal) sessions are active and sustained.

 

Standard of Work

  • Standard work shall be completed, every day, in all areas.
  • This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Value stream daily standard work.
    • 5S.
    • Cross-training matrix.
    • Hour by hour board.
    • Shift transition checklist.
    • Reporting.
