We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Manager, Europe, reporting directly to the Treasury Head, Europe and partnering closely with the Global Treasury team in the US and Finance teams across Europe.
This role sits within a lean, high‑performing treasury organization and is ideal for an experienced treasury professional who thrives in a high‑ownership environment. While the position fundamentally supports the Treasury Head, Europe, it also requires the confidence and capability to take initiative, independently drive work forward, and actively shape the European treasury agenda.
You will act as a trusted right hand, translating strategic direction into execution and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance treasury effectiveness across the region.
The role offers broad exposure across banking, liquidity management, foreign exchange risk management, cash forecasting, project finance support, and treasury governance and controls.
What Impact You Will Make:
As a core contributor to the European Treasury function, you will:
- Support and execute the regional cash management strategy, working closely with the Treasury Head, Europe to protect cash, optimize returns, and strengthen liquidity management. Act as deputy to the Treasury Head, Europe as required.
- Manage day‑to‑day treasury operations and banking activities, partnering with regional banking counterparts, Global Treasury colleagues, and in‑country finance teams, while keeping the Treasury Head, Europe informed on key decisions and developments.
- Interface directly with regional banking partners on matters including bank and cash account management, Letter of Credit issuance, and the implementation and ongoing operation of cash pooling arrangements.
- Coordinate and support foreign exchange hedging activities, acting as the primary regional operational lead and reviewer.
- Analyze treasury data, trends, and risks, providing insights, recommendations, and proactive issue identification to support decision‑making.
- Coordinate and help lead treasury budgeting and forecasting activities for Europe, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and consistency.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Accounting, ensuring treasury actuals are accurate, complete, and delivered on a timely basis.
- Actively identify and progress process, control, and standardization improvements, escalating recommendations and solutions to the Treasury Head, Europe.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Significant experience building and operating treasury processes and controls within a multi‑entity, multi‑country environment
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Previous experience as a Treasury Manager or in a senior treasury role, with strong knowledge of:
- International cash management and liquidity
- FX risk management
- Cash flow and FX forecasting
- Treasury governance and controls
- A self‑starter mindset, with the ability to take ownership, prioritize effectively, and independently drive initiatives forward while operating as a close and reliable partner to senior leadership.
- Strong planning and forecasting capability, including building cash flow and FX forecasts from the ground up.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, conditional logic, and database‑style functionality.
- Experience with ERP systems, Treasury Management Systems (TMS), and regional cash pool implementations is highly desirable.
- An accounting qualification is an advantage.
- Fluent English (business language).
