Senior Category Manager (Indirect and/or Chemicals)- Europe

In this pivotal role you will support the development and delivery of strategy, being a key player in our digitalisation, you will ultimately help take us to the next level of our journey.

You will assist in the continued development of a strong Sourcing function, supporting the sourcing and control of our current and future Supplier base.  A high degree of global Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is required to deliver through measured Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

What your impact will be:

• Responsibility for annual budget, ongoing forecast, and reporting process
• Support the development and implementation of a clear sourcing strategy, including mitigation of risk in the supply chain, motivating/empowering people to deliver, whilst ensuring alignment with departmental and wider business goals
• Ensure cost competitiveness, supporting annual budget requirements

• Support the development, and ensure timely execution of contract negotiations with targeted suppliers
• Responsibility for supplier selection/evaluation in accordance with the sourcing strategy, relationship/performance management and development

What you'll need to succeed:

• Demonstrable evidence of working effectively and delivering results in a global organisation, balancing local and international requirements
• Indirect and Chemical sourcing experience preferrable
• Analytical and numbers driven
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to manage, motivate and inspire a team
• Commercially astute and able to develop a strategy to deliver strong performance against an inflationary market
• Confident, articulate, and able to influence stakeholders at all levels (internal and external)
• Driven, resilient, proactive and adaptable to change
