Here at JELD-WEN Europe, a global organisation that produces and manufacturers Doors and Doorsets, we’re looking for a Salesforce Release Manager based in the UK on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. This is a home-based role working within a growing cross functional team and offers opportunity to be hands on with the latest Salesforce products.

 

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Release Manager with a background in Salesforce development. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing and streamlining the release processes for our Salesforce platform. Your expertise will be essential in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, ensuring seamless deployments, and quickly resolving any deployment issues. Ensuring communication and management skillsets are adhered to.

 

Additionally, our current deployment schedule presents opportunities for you to support the development team with hands-on development tasks, further enhancing team productivity and project outcomes.

 

The Salesforce Team is a growing team during an exciting time at JELD-WEN where a global transformation program is driving the business forward with projects which include CPQ, Telephony and a new Salesforce Org roadmap amongst other initiatives related to the Salesforce Estate.

 

We offer this role on a fixed-term contract basis (12 months) working remotely, a competitive salary, up to 25 days holiday, 7.5% pension, Medicash health plan.

 

What your impact will be:

 

Version Control & Release Management

 

    • Proficient in Git for day-to-day development workflows.
    • Experience creating and managing release branches to support structured deployment processes.
    • Skilled in advanced Git operations including merges, rebases, and cherry-picks across branches.
    • Able to resolve merge conflicts efficiently and maintain a clean, traceable commit history.
    • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation, including setting up deployment pipelines and integrating environment-specific workflows.
    • Familiarity with Git-based release strategies (e.g., Git Flow, trunk-based development) is an advantage.
    • Troubleshoot deployment issues effectively and implement appropriate solutions.
    • Create implementation and deployment plans according to release schedules.
    • Provide support to the team by working on development tickets during the sprint.

What you'll need to succeed:

 

  • You'll need proficiency in Git workflows, expertise in advanced Git operations, and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
  • Proven experience working with Salesforce and release management responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tool delivery for deployments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and APEX.
  • Experience with delivery methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall.
  • Strong understanding of application, system, and Salesforce architecture.
  • Excellent communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot deployment errors effectively.
