This position, part of the global Cybersecurity and Compliance Team, will be embedded within our regional EU IT Team to ensure that the requirements of JELD-WEN’s global Vulnerability Management Program can be balanced with the specific needs and expectations of our EU businesses.

The position will require the successful candidate to collaborate and coordinate with our EU IT and business teams on all matters relating to patch management, to ensure that EU-specific patching priorities are planned, tested, scheduled, effectively communicated, and accurately deployed throughout JELD-WEN’s EU network environment. 


Self-driven and able to work well as part of a team and individually, the successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic about continuously improving cybersecurity, and who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and being ‘hands-on’ to get things done.



Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Manage multiple patching workstreams
  • Collaborate, coordinate, assist and/or perform the following:
    • Planning, prioritizing, testing, scheduling, communicating, and deploying security patches
    • Collaborate with JELD-WEN Cybersecurity Team to ensure alignment between high-risk vulnerabilities and prioritization of patches
    • Maintain an appropriate environment for testing patches prior to full deployment, including selecting pilot users, designing test steps and success criteria
    • Work with businesses to inventory ‘un-patchable’ assets and plan for remediation, upgrade, or mitigation  
    • Continuous improvement of patch management processes e.g. through automation
    • Development and reporting of metrics/KPIs to show the effectiveness of patch management in EU
    • Troubleshooting, support, and roll-back planning for problematic patches
    • Stay up to date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities, and patch releases by JELD-WEN’s IT vendors in order to be able to quickly deploy urgent/emergency patches
    • Patching due diligence for new acquisitions
    • Other patch management initiatives as might reasonably be expected of the position


Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant experience with evidence of exceptional ability
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting, maintaining, and administering (predominantly Microsoft Windows) server environments
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM/WSUS or related patching products in an enterprise environment, including creating and deploying packages
  • Solid understanding of server and networking fundamentals
  • Thorough understanding of vulnerability management, patch management, package distribution and logging processes
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to communicate across multiple time zones
  • Ability to consistently deliver on personal commitments
  • Relevant certifications would be advantageous
