YOUR ROLE

 

This role will be responsible for financial reporting within the Europe Group Financial Reporting team. Based in European head office in Solihull, you will be supporting several local finance teams across Europe and working with stakeholders across the business to deliver Europe Group financial reporting to European and US management.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Supporting Europe monthly financial reporting process, co-ordinating reporting of local finance teams to Group deadlines and review of individual country financial results
  • Preparation of quarterly Europe Group financial reporting disclosures for Group US GAAP financial statements, liaising with US Financial Reporting team
  • Completion of SOX controls and supporting Internal Controls team in delivering SOX compliance across Europe
  • Liaising with stakeholders across the business including Tax, Financial Planning & Advisory and external auditors
  • Supporting Europe finance teams with financial reporting queries
  • Supporting in delivery of financial reporting training across Europe

 

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

 

  • Professional Accountancy qualification/part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a financial reporting team or accountancy firm
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present information effectively
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience of US GAAP and SOX controls desirable (not essential)
  • Opportunity to use and improve European language skills (not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to proactively manage multiple tasks and ability to meet reporting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and keen ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships
  • Ability to analyse information and communicate results to stakeholders
  • Opportunity to interact with senior European management across the business
