About the role

 

Are you an experienced FP&A Lead looking for their next challenge and the opportunity to step up and manage an FP&A team or are you already an FP&A Manager looking for something new? Do you have a background working within complex financial environments and extensive experience with multi-site/ country consolidation? Are you looking for the opportunity to work with the senior leadership team and feel like you could have a presence within the senior leadership meetings from a finance perspective?

 

We are looking for an FP&A Manager who will report into and support the European FP&A Director on programs/functions through financial results, reviews, planning and forecasting of financials, tracking project costs and support expenditures.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading the co-ordination, consolidation and production of all FP&A / Business Reporting activities and deliverables for Europe - Financials, Forecast, MOR, Budget, LRFF etc
  • Managing the European month end FP&A processes & governance (e.g. FP&A reporting deadlines & execution)
  • Reviewing, verification, validation and reporting of European financial performance – P&L, BS & CF
  • Leading internal management reporting process into ELT & SLT (MOR Pack etc) 
  • Understanding and provide commentary (inc detailed analysis) on key business drivers and impact on performance – FX, Inflation, Volume, Mix, Price, Productivity, Sourcing etc 
  • Leading European forecast & budget processes – ensure accurate, realistic, achievable, supported by sound financial analysis, challenge, monitor, drive improvements in P&L, TWC, Cash etc, improve predictability/accuracy, highlight risk / exposure and drive corrective & mitigating actions
  • Leading OH & SG&A spend review, reporting & management. Support functional cost centre managers / functional P&L owners 

 

Experience

 

  • Experience of working in a multi country/cultural role
  • Excellent business acumen and sound financial understanding of what underpins performance along with the ability to communicate numeric and financial information to non-Finance stakeholders
  • Experience within a sizeable Manufacturing or Construction business
  • Comfortable working with big data sets and translating results into meaningful analysis and incorporating into forecasts
  • Advanced excel skill and experience and initiative in building robust financial models
  • Proven experience of mid to senior management experience in a finance or accounting organization,
  • Experience working in a global matrix managed organization
