Here at JELD-WEN Europe, a global organisation that produces and manufacturers Doors and Doorsets, we’re looking for a DACH IT Project Lead on a 12-month fixed term contract basis. This is a home-based role with some travel required to sites in Germany and Austria.

 

You will be a German and English-speaking IT Project expert, responsible for managing several projects at any one time which span multiple geographical locations.

 

This role will work collaboratively with the European IT Operations, Infrastructure, Applications and Compliance Teams, as well as cross-functional Business teams to plan, develop, implement, maintain, and enforce the comprehensive project management governance, associated with all aspects of the IT projects.

 

The DACH IT Project Lead will report to the Programme Manager for Europe and be responsible for managing several IT centric projects with a potential wide-ranging remit that could include infrastructure, business processes, applications, integrations, and consolidations.

 

 

What your impact will be:

 

  • Deliver assigned projects on-time, on budget and against the agreed scope.
  • Ensure consistent project delivery experience to Customers, Project Stakeholders and IT management, via adherence to the JELD-WEN IT PMO Stage Gate Process and standardised delivery process.
  • Provide experience and expertise in gathering business requirements and conducting business process analysis and mapping.
  • Development of Business Cases to ensure ROI for project activities.
  • Planning and coordinating the resources and capabilities required to deliver assigned projects.
  • Consistent coordination of; Planned Activities, Scope Management, IT or Project Change Control, Issue Management, Risk Management, deliverable Quality Assurance and Milestone achievement.
  • Serve as the Project customer liaison ensuring appropriate communication cadence. 
  • Interacting with the management team and user base to ensure proper alignment of business goals with project deployment.
  • Produce regular Project status reports, conveying Project Status and highlighting key Risks and Issues.
  • Management of External vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Effective handover to Business-as-Usual Operations post project closure, including service stabilisation, ownership for follow on actions and benefits realisation.

 

What you'll need to succeed:

 

  • Fluency in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Project, IT, or similar degree level qualification (Prince 2, APM, PMP certification or equivalent).
  • Previous experience and skills in IT Project Management, across the project implementation lifecycle. (HR systems transformation would be an advantage).
  • Experience of working within a Global company and/or a Manufacturing or Production company would be an advantage.
  • Experience of leading project groups across multiple functions, across geographical regions and with 3rd party vendor management.
  • Previous delivery experience of IT improvement projects and/or Transformational IT projects.
  • Strong Financial background experience to support with preparation of business case documentation.
  • Demonstratable experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Influence, collaboration, conflict resolution, and expectation management.
  • Must be competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
