JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Production Scheduler to join our growing team. 

 

The Opportunity

The Production Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of creating the daily production schedule of a busy manufacturing plant in a make-to-stock and make-to-order environment.  This includes but is not limited to; working safely, planning and processing of production schedules, printing and organizing production documents, processing of purchase orders, following SOPs, maintaining historical information, troubleshooting, cost reduction, communicating with suppliers, and continuous improvement. 

 

What You Will Do

  • Plan Production Schedules
  • Interface with internal departments to develop and execute the Plan
  • Process Production Schedules in the ERP System
  • Further process schedules in other software
  • Prepare production paperwork
  • Place Purchase orders
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets
  • Work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies (quality, delivery, etc)
  • Collect and maintain data and other historical information
  • Problem solve for continuous improvement
  • Support other office functions as needed

 

Who You Are

  • Must have a HS Diploma; some college or specialized training preferred
  • 2+ years of work experience in an office setting; preferably in manufacturing but not required
  • Self-starter and able to perform the job with minimal supervision once trained
  • Proficient in the use of computers
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management and suppliers.
  • Strong work ethic and attendance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to work OT as required to complete daily work
