We are now looking for an experienced Value Analysis / Value Engineer to join our team!

 

The Value Analysis / Value Engineer (VA/VE) role will implement a systematic method to improve the "value" of goods or products and services by using an examination of functions. The role will look at the value of our products and the ratio of function to cost. This role is to promote the planning and delivery of projects with improved performance.

 

The role is responsible for the ideation, technical feasibility and execution of validation of the multiple project ideas, creating connections both in Operations and R&D to gather more resources at the relevant time to support the role.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure adherence with all compliance standards and operate with integrity at all times.
  • To be able to identify proper source of margin generation considering a manufactured good or its manufacturing process through an in-depth technical analysis when needed.
  • Use a systematic planned approach (desirable functional analysis) in order to eliminate critical technical risks first when changing an engineering process or product.
  • Make sure all areas are involved during the technical analysis securing a good risk mitigation plan with all stakeholders accountable.
  • Propose and execute validation checks in order to eliminate a technical risk as soon as possible, being capable to revalidate the plan focused on acceleration by capturing others’ opinion towards it.
  • Communicate and propose clear prioritization between different activities in the Portfolio of projects taking into consideration incurrent costs, risks and potential of the different activities
  • Connect and live long term partnerships with several peers in Operations, R&D, Product Management and Finance area, being recognized as the ambassador of the VA/VE area throughout the European organization
  • Guarantee proper resourcing of the different activities through awareness, internal partnership, identifying new ways of working, addressing bottlenecks and properly escalating challenges when needed.

 

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum 5 years experience as R&D engineer, with proven experience in manufacturing processes
  • Experience with planning and execution of R&D experimental or numerical validation is essential.
  • Experience with VA/VE or DTV activities in a market leader matrix organization would be desirable.
  • Knowledge in industrial, large scale manufacturing of goods (B2B/B2C are both acceptable)
  • Engineering background with some sort of specialization in manufacturing process. Desirable on timber industry.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
  • German written and spoken would also be desirable but not essenital.
