We are now looking for a Quality Engineer to join the team here at JELD-WEN Sheffield, to support the implementation of strategic Quality improvement plans and objectives across the Sheffield site.


As Quality Engineer, you’ll provide advice, guidance, and support to the site teams to ensure compliance with company management standards and legislative requirements.




  • Minimise the total cost of quality and ensuring 100% compliance to standards.
  • Set the standards for Quality led operational activities.
  • Role model behaviours in line with the JELD-WEN standard of acceptance and in accordance with JELD-WEN values and expectations.
  • Lead Quality activities towards world-class performance; make continuous improvement standard practice. 
  • Educate, develop, and inspire team members towards betterment and achievement.
  • Facilitate and/or lead activity to solve internal and customer complaints, through A3 and basic problem solving tools
  • Create/deploy quality training for new and current employees
  • Manage NPI & Process Control Management across site, in your areas of responsibility
  • Participate & engage in taking CI Projects in our area of responsibility to drive down/improve the costs of key scrap & rework projects
  • Support Quality Manager with ISO9001:2015 Management System & continued accreditation



  • Experience of working in a medium to high volume, medium variety manufacturing and engineering environment.
  • Experience of working with automation, machining, paint and/or coatings would be advantageous
  • Experience of problem solving and lean tools
  • Experience of working with a daily and visual management techniques
  • Experience of problem solving and leading associated activities
  • Demonstrable examples of solving quality, warranty and customer abnormalities
  • Experience/involvement in New Product Introduction
  • Experience/involvement in Process Change Management
  • Experience ISO9001:2015 & Internal Auditing
  • A self-motivator able to work alone or part of the team to drive necessary improvements within the business
  • Excellent IT skills for report writing, analyses of data statistics with good presentation skills
  • Ability to use QUALITY Tools to aid problem resolution
