Multi Skilled Engineer

Your role

We are looking for a proactive Multi skilled Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. You will drive our Engineering activities towards world-class performance; make continuous improvement standard practice.

 
This pivotal role will support the site teams to ensure compliance with company legislative requirements.

Engineer Shifts operate on a continental pattern of day shifts & night shifts (Day shift: 6 am – 6 pm & night shift: 6 pm – 6 am). The factory has core production hours of Monday to Friday allowing for weekend maintenance. Excellent benefits and competetive pay - the salary for this role is £47,380. 

Key Responsibilities – What your impact will be

• Safety of yourself and others around you
• Mechanical and electrical breakdowns onsite
• Fault-finding on a range of PLC controlled production equipment
• Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned preventative and predictive maintenance
• Continually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site
• Support with the training and coaching of the apprentices
• Support the site Leadership team to develop and deliver a safety focussed continuous improvement culture
• Updating and working from the site CMMS

What you'll need to succeed

• Be a team player
• Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health & Safety
• Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance
• Experienced in fault finding and problem solving
• NVQ3 or equivalent in both a mechanical and electrical engineering or similar discipline
• Be computer literate
• Previous experience of using a CMMS is desirable
• PLC experience is desirable
