Overview of the role

 

  • To issue maintain timely, accurate and useful reports and analysis which support JW’s current business model and strategic goals.
  • To support/participate in financial planning, budgeting and analysis. Financial support for programs/functions through financial results, reviews, planning and forecasting of financials, tracking project costs and support expenditures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecast.
  • Leading planning cycles including developing estimates, operating plans / forecasts / reviews, budget, LRFF(3 year plan); OP (operating plan/budget) and corporate reporting
  • Being responsible for quarterly closing / estimates and develop reliable estimates of product sales, contribution margin, and base cost; communicate current results and estimates to business leaders
  • Helping create long range plans and short range forecasts, understanding / evaluating key business drivers
  • Trackincg progress against plans at a granular level; recommending actions to get to planned performance for the operating teams
  • Understanding, communicating and explaining variance drivers within the business; segment them into unusuals,
  • Operating drivers and identify root cause and action owners for each Controllables
  • Working with business leaders to understand & drive opportunities for Growth and managing cost
  • Leading and providing analytics on strategic initiatives identifying risks & opportunities during each quarter and leading team in mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities
  • Driving standardization & process improvement across operating businesses in all aspects of planning and reporting and financial processes and structure, including best practice sharing.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Developing financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

 

Experience and Background Requirements

  • Wide and varied practical experience & exposure – Sales Co, Factory, Group / Head Office.
  • True operational finance background working with Operations / Senior Management
  • Have used standard costing with resulting variance analysis and corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of Bills of Material.
  • An understanding of productivity and how to calculate it. An understanding of Channel and Customer mix.
  • Ability to deliver and work to tight / strict deadlines, ability to multi task
  • Long Range Forecast
  • Good Systems Exposure
  • Matrix style Organisation and worked with a two boss management style.
  • Large co of size, preferably public not private. US/UK owed Global Multi National not just domestically owned.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from larger international manufacturing company.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with management of minimum 5 employees.
  • Analytical approach and able to set framework – strong focus on governance
  • Strong communicational skills – both verbal and written
  • Build and develop strong and high performing team
  • Manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast pace environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Drive continuous improvement in own area as well as in interfaces with others

 

  • University degree in economics or similar
  • Familiar with a weekly Pulse cadence
  • Demonstrated understanding of a walk/bridge concept.

 

 

Super user of:

  • at least one ERP system.
  • at least one BI system.
  • Advanced MS Excel
