JELD-WEN Doors and Windows, Canada's leading window and door brand, is currently looking for a Human Resources Advisor for its Plant in St-Apollinaire, Quebec.


  • Deploy innovative and attractive recruitment strategies in order to generate applications of sufficient quality and quantity to support the needs of operations;
  • Carry out all recruitment steps for production and administrative employees (understanding the need, preparing job offers, analyzing applications, interviewing, selecting candidates and welcoming and onboarding new employees);
  • Manage employment injury files with the CNESST while collaborating with various stakeholders (compensation officer, lawyer, medical expert);
  • Manage absenteeism and disability files;
  • Participate in the development of health and safety culture by ensuring the implementation of accident prevention programs or activities in collaboration with production teams;
  • Advise and support managers on the interpretation and application of collective agreements, participate in labour relations committees, manage grievances and administer disciplinary measures as required;
  • Advise and support managers on various aspects of human resources management such as employee relations, performance and performance management and compliance with corporate policies and procedures;
  • Participate in various organizational development files and contribute strategically to the success of the organization;
  • Any other related tasks, such as the preparation of engagement and reconnaissance activities.


  • Bachelor's degree in industrial relations or human resources;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in human resources management in a manufacturing environment;
  • Knowledge of the various provincial labour laws and other relevant laws (main: Labour Code, Act respecting labour standards, Act respecting occupational health and safety, Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases);
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Very good knowledge of claims management (know all the steps of a CNEEST file);
  • Intermediate to advanced level of English (oral and/or written communications with other English-speaking sites in Western Canada, Toronto or the United States).
