Hiring Now – Immediate need for new Manufacturing Team Members 

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Warehouse Lead to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows. 

Depending on assignment, successful candidates may do any of the following duties:  

• Lead and maintain high quality standards 

• Inspect incoming loads 

• Select items in the warehouse for shipping 

• Maintain facility housekeeping standards 

• Use a forklift to load and unload trucks 

• Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed 

• Consistently adhere to safe work practices 

• Building racking for storage of product 

• Reorganizing product in bins and racking 

Requirements:  
Qualified applicant will have a minimum of 1-2 years manufacturing or warehousing experience, preferably in building materials. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Knowledge of the millwork industry a definite plus. Prior forklift and order picker experience. 
 
Other important qualifications:  

• Positive outgoing attitude 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Self-motivated, goal oriented 

• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

• Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere 

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $25.76 to $28.47  per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
