JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Skilled Production to join our growing team.

Hiring Now – Immediate need for new Distribution Team Members

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Skilled Production in our Hollow Metal Department to assist our Distribution Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows.

Depending on assignment, our team members may do any of the following duties: 

• Assemble hollow metal door frames including hinge and strike preps
• Prepare doors with lite cut-outs and bores
• Grind and prime finished product
• Maintain production schedule to produce and deliver product on-time
• Maintain quality control on all items produced

Experience Preferred:

• Product knowledge including commercial and hollow metal doors a plus
• Excellent work habits
• Strong attention to detail
• 1-2 years welding experience

Other Important Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills
• Positive outgoing attitude
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $21.03 to $23.98  per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
