JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Programming to join our growing team.

 

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has positions available for a Programmer to create CNC Router programs, and CAD drawings.  The successful candidate will also be someone with strong attention to detail and willingness to tackle challenges outside of the daily processes.

General description of duties:

  • Computer Aided Drawing designer / CNC router programmer
  • Create and maintain CNC router programs for product lines in Millennium, Aluminum Frames, and American Series Molded Core
  • Create and maintain machining templates for KVAL machinery
  • Work with engineering, ops and sales teams on research and development projects to create new profiles and designs
  • Ensure the equipment and/or services are delivered on time, on budget, and meet all JELD-WEN standards/specifications to ensure program success.
  • Oversee and work with cross-functional teams to identify tasks, build and manage program plans, identify, assign and commit functional resources to meet organization productivity commitments, goals and objectives.
  • Incorporate Lean Six Sigma and SQDCI methodologies into programs and projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in CNC operations, and Machining
  • Experience with Autocad or other CAD platforms
  • Exposure to CNC machinery either in wood working or aluminum applications
  • Experience with CNC programming tools such as Alphacam, Kval, or Fomcam
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Commitment to educating themselves in unfamiliar areas relevant to their responsibilities
  • Exceeds at the JELD-WEN 5 core values

 

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $26.06 to $43.51 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
