Production Supervisor

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our growing team.

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the nation's largest suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Production Supervisor to assist our Distribution Divisions in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Promote a safe work environment by following company guidelines and policies and coaching employees to work safely 

• Follow and coach team members in operating model (Hr x Hr, GEMBA, Escalation, Lean Manufacturing practices) 

• Drive 5S, lean improvements, and A3 projects 

• Perform Layered Process Audits to ensure safety, quality and delivery metrics are met

• Audit paperwork and orders to ensure customers are delighted with delivery 

• Follow quality workflow and support proper documentation of all quality issues and defects

• Schedule the daily duties of team members including the coordination of loading, associated paperwork and routing of products for daily deliveries 

• Update productivity and KPI data in database (Team Guru) 

• Verify order completion and utilize daily production system to track orders through process, working with Sales and Management to resolve discrepancies and issues

• Prepare warehouse for and conduct weekly inventory cycle counts 

• Train new staff and existing staff as required 

• Evaluate, coach and/or discipline staff as required 

• Other duties as assigned

• Lean, A3, and computer skills 

• Self-motivated, goal oriented 

• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

• Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Ability to read and write English. 

• 3-5 years warehouse experience preferably in a supervisory capacity. 

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.  

• Must be able to use excel, SharePoint, Work, and work in company programs 

• Strong organizational skills.

Expected pay for this role is between $69,900.00 to $116,400.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.​
