JELD-WEN is currently seeking an Production Supervisor to join our growing team.
American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has positions available for Production Supervisor to assist our Distribution Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers. This position will support our Manufacturing Division.

Successful Production Supervisor candidates may do any of the following duties:
• Schedule daily duties of Production crews and oversee the preparation and production of materials to meet daily/weekly orders.
• Supervise and direct the duties of operations personnel in production.
• Verify order paperwork to piece counts of daily loads and perform quality control checks of product before staging for distribution.
• Log tags for daily production and monitor DPS.
• Distribute labor within and between production departments to meet daily production requirements including the target UPLH for Prefinish.
• Adjust and distribute labor as needed for vacation, sick or late employees.
• Track and maintain daily production records including the Prefinish Replacement Log, Sac MFG Charges, VOC Reporting, Inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Attend daily production meetings.
• Serve as liaison between the production departments and the sales department to troubleshoot missing product and/or research problem tags and respond to emails accordingly.
• Track orders from start to completion by utilizing the SQL late report and invoices in dispatch with new target ship dates for any orders that are late.
• Maintain a lead time of 14 days or less for any Prefinish order.
• Monitor production supplies for all departments.
• Serve as liaison between day production and night loading.
• Assist with production.
• Interviewing and hiring as necessary.
• Evaluate, coach and/or discipline staff as required.
• Train new staff and existing staff as required.
• Be a model for attendance and stay late as needed.
• Lead by example with a positive attitude, good work ethic, and willingness to work as a team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Lean Manufacturing experience, including 5S, Problem Solving, and Kaizen.
• Ability to read and write English.
• 3-5 years warehouse/manufacturing/production experience preferably in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $69.900,00 to $116.400,00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
