JELD-WEN is currently seeking a EH&S Coordinator to join our growing team.
American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for EH&S Coordinar to join our talented team of door professionals. This person will work with an experienced and respected sales team representing and selling our extensive line of residential door products.

Job Description: Environmental Specialist assists in field and office environmental quality work. They provide support to the Environmental Department by assisting in surveys, sampling and analysis; assist other environmental staff in preparing charts, graphs, and sketches; reviews technical documents; maintains computer files; maintains and files environmental records; conducts environmental training; assists in the cleanup of spills; and assists in the inspection of regulated facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess a working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word).
- Able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Maintenance of environmental compliance tools (tracking spreadsheets, compliance calendars, etc.).
- Provide accurate and timely support documents associated with regulatory compliance.
- Communicates verbally and in writing with JELD-WEN facility management.
- Functions as part of an environmental team.
- Ability to complete duties as directed by the Environmental Manager.
- Meets internal & external reporting, project, and task deadlines.
- Assists in environmental management of facility’s operation (air, water, waste, etc.).
- Performs inspections of facilities, processes and equipment
- Participates on cross-functional team projects.
- Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Maintain Environmental Department Document and Data File System. Education and/or Experience:
- Associates’ or Bachelors’ degree in engineering, science or related field from an accredited college or university desirable.
- Environmental experience preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with the ability to prepare professional-quality deliverables.
- Ability to trouble-shoot tables & spreadsheets.
- Exercise sound judgment and logical deduction.
- Process knowledge a plus.

Desirable Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Certified Visible Emissions Evaluator
- Certified Lift Truck Operator
- OSHA 40-hour Hazardous Materials Technician
- Annual 8-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) refresher. Facility is Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator of hazardous waste.

Expected pay for this role is between $21.20 - $35.33 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
