Commercial Driver

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Commercial Driver to join our growing team.

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation's largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork is currently seeking an experienced Professional Drivers Group Lead to do route deliveries.  ABS maintains a fleet of dependable trucks that are serviced regularly.  In addition, our drivers work Monday through Friday and are home every night.

General Description of Duties: 

• Scheduling and coordinating driver deliveries and production order flow, ensuring safe and on-time pickup and delivery 
• Provide customer service and support to customers via the phone and email, as well as will-call 
• Update scheduling database with ticket details 
• Make multiple route deliveries as needed

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers 

• Deliver all material undamaged and on time 

• Communicate customer service issues with operations and sales 
• Other duties as assigned by transportation manager.

Preferred Experience: 

• Clean DMV Report 

• Current CDL/Class A license required 

• Good communication skills 

• Good paperwork accuracy 

• Good attendance history 

• Knowledge of millwork products a plus

• Positive outgoing attitude 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Self-motivated, goal oriented 

• Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

• Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere 

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Expected pay for this role is between $30.47 to $33.68  per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
