The Sr HR Manager will make an impact by partnering with business leaders to understand their priorities and provide strategic HR support as a thought partner. This includes the ability to balance the day to day activities but also thinking strategically about key opportunities that will further enhance the business as it relates to talent development, performance management, succession planning to name a few. They are to maintain the highest level of discretion regarding employees and organizational changes confidentiality; continually analyze and make recommendations to lead a positive culture; and communicate effectively and professionally through oral and written interactions. This role will also manage multiple plants across different locations with direct report responsibility.
What You Will Do
- Partners with Talent Acquisition to fill key roles in support of the business
- Manages annual salary and performance review process in partnership with leaders; Ensures managers are trained and follow designed processes and fairly assess employee’s performance.
- Effectively investigates and resolves workplace issues and employee complaints providing effective mediation and conflict resolution. Ensures employees have a safe working environment free from discrimination and harassment. Works with legal counsel to mitigate risk and litigation. Experienced and knowledgeable in the full cycle of investigation and resolution.
- Trusted advisor to employees and management. Conducts regular roundtables in partnership with plant leadership, identifies key trends and provides recommendations for improvement to management for implementation
- Able to take on any additional HR related assignments as needed.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Who You Are
- Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and consulting skills across multiple levels, both verbal and written
- Proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
- Adaptability in a changing environment with the ability to guide employees in an organization undergoing transformation
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information while maintaining poise, tact, diplomacy and style
- Demonstrated project/program management experience
- Ability to make solid business decisions, problem-solve and simultaneously handle multiple job task and/or priorities
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and providing recommendations
- Ability to work in a team setting with diverse personalities building effective relationships
- Proactive and results oriented mindset with a keen eye for data
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing HR teams
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources management and/or management
- 8+ years of experience as an experienced HRBP in a manufacturing environment managing large teams as well as cyclical HR agenda items such as performance management, talent development, succession planning, and compensation planning to name a few
