The Sr. Distribution Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for development and execution of a strategic plan to drive sales and profitability for JELD-WEN, across all channels of distribution. Channels include Independent dealers, Two-step National accounts, builder, Architect and Home Center’s. The ideal candidate would reside near Rialto, CA, Sacramento, CA, or Charlotte, NC. 


The scope of this role includes strategic planning, development and oversight/implementation of all marketing initiatives, deliverables and ensuring best in class marketing tools for sell-through of key product launches.  In addition, the Sr. Distribution Channel Marketing Manager will need to have a working knowledge of all elements of the distribution and retail channels. A clear understanding on how they go to market is a must to create the necessary tools and programs to meet their specific needs. In addition, they need to be tightly integrated within the assigned account teams and provide project management expertise to ensure that tactical plans are created and managed to execute on-time and on-budget.


The Sr. Distribution Channel Marketing Manager uses industry knowledge, product information, and brand strategies to develop and execute specific marketing tools that grow and improve brand equity, seamless customer experience and sales through promotions, sales aides, events, conversions, product line reviews, support materials, digital assets, packaging, social media, marketing campaigns, POP and merchandising through collaboration with the marketing and sales teams.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop creative channel/customer strategy then translate and execute strategy into plans, projects, and programs in collaboration with marketing and sales that attract customers and succeed over the competition to win business 
  • Constantly evolve identify and understand needs of key influencers/personas (two step, dealers, builders, architects, contractors, and DIY) and develop tools, programs and campaigns that make it easier to do business and drive results 
  • Monitor and compile competitive activity including new product introductions, communication announcements, promotions and visual merchandising  
  • Constantly bridging the gap to create best in class customer buying journey by harmonizing the online and in-store journey to deliver a consistent and delightful shopping experience that put JELD-WEN top of mind
  • Work with internal teams to identify, develop and implement meaningful programs, marketing tools and sales aides, social media, marketing campaigns, communication announcements, training, enriched content and promotions that build brand loyalty, create brand advocates and drive sales for assigned customers
  • Resident expert on a various range of support including the ability to identify, develop and implement strategic visual in-store merchandising/display plan in collaboration with marketing and sales  
  • Responsible for staying within budget and maintain strong vendor relations as well as manage resources and projects for on-time deliveries
  • Design, communicate, implement, monitor, and (if necessary) design the critical processes required to ensure that satisfaction is consistently achieved for the key account and customers within the channel of distribution. 
  • Support sales team for all marketing initiatives such as line reviews, business meetings, co-op program usage and processes, customer rebates and incentives, conversions, events, promotion and sell thru activities, NPI launches, communication and marketing updates  
  • Understand emerging trends and competitive landscape and share insights with marketing and commercialization teams
  • Support the coordinated efforts of all sales teams, ensuring superior execution of sales to accounts within the channel of distribution.
  • Ensure brand consistency, messaging and guidelines across channel
  • Sets priorities and drive synergies across customers and businesses
  • Create goals and measurement plans to gauge success of marketing initiatives and ensure appropriate investment is profitable
  • Travel required 25%


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


  • Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in completing tasks 
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Demonstrate successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams 
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to research, develop and deliver compelling marketing presentations and promotions to the sales team
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills  
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, to include the ability to develop high-quality working relationships both internally and externally with customers and industry organizations.
  • Strong project management skillset 
  • Strong acumen in creative, visual merchandising, brand, digital assets, and interconnected journey


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business administration or related field  
  • 7 - 10 years channel marketing and sales negotiation work experience 
  • High competency in project and stakeholder management
  • Building products and manufacturing industry a plus
  • Previous channel management, distribution and big box retailers experience preferred
  • Experience in B2B, B2C and end to end marketing, an advantage

Expected pay for this role is between $91,500.00 to $152,500.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
