Skilled Production

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Skilled Production in our Hollow Metal (Welding Dept.) - to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Hourly Rates starting at $24.52 - $26.83

We Make Doors – Where they lead is up to you…

General description of duties:

• Assemble hollow metal frames including hinge and strike preps
• Assemble TIMELY frames including hinge and strike preps
• Handling finished paint product
• Maintain production schedule to produce and deliver product on-time
• Maintain quality control on all items produced
• Prepare doors with lite cut-outs and bores
• Maintain quality control on all items produced
• Must be experienced reading a tape measure

Experience Preferred:

• Product knowledge including commercial and hollow metal doors a plus
• Excellent work habits
• Must know the tape measure
• Strong attention to detail
• Welding experience a plus
• Must be able to operate a cherry picker forklift
• Knowledge of die press equipment a plus
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
