American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a Shipper/Receiver - to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Hourly Rates starting at $25.51 - $27.00

Shift: 1st (5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. w/mandatory OT)

We Make Doors – Where they lead is up to you…

General description of duties:

• Maintain high quality standards
• Select items in the warehouse for shipping from pod and rack storage areas
• Inspect all outgoing merchandise for quality and accuracy
• Palletize, band, wrap, and stage material
• Assist in loading trucks
• Consistently adhere to safe work practices
• Maintain facility housekeeping standards

Requirements:

Qualified applicant will have a minimum of 1-2 years distribution or warehousing experience, preferably in building materials. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Knowledge of the millwork industry a definite plus. Prior forklift and Cherry Picker experience, including powered lift truck certification, preferred.

• Able to work mandatory overtime as business needs require
• Ability to promote and maintain a TEAM atmosphere

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
