Hiring Now – Immediate need for- Maintenance Apprentice

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for Facility Maintenance to assist our Distribution Division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Position Responsibility:

• Works on new installations of all power, lights, compressors, control panels, electrical service and powered industrial equipment
• Electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout facility
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance tasks including overhaul and repair of machines, panels and conveyors
• Maintains logs of both preventative and routine maintenance as required
• Assists with various new or remodel commercial construction projects
• Other miscellaneous maintenance and construction projects as necessary

Special Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude a must
• Experience using basic hand tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude a must
• Able to work without assistance and direction in performing duties
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform overhead work
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

Expected pay for this role is between $24.44 to $27.00  per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
