JELD-WEN is currently seeking a CNC Programmer (Skilled Production) to join our growing team.
Department/Team: Reports to Production Supervisor in Manufacturing / Production
Shift (if applicable): Day Shift
American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the Nation’s largest wholesale suppliers of Doors, Door Hardware, Windows, and Millwork, currently has a position available for a CNC Programmer to assist our Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines according to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Load materials into machines and remove finished parts.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure parts meet specifications and production requirements.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documentation.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and tool changes when required.
- Record production quantities and inspection results.
- Report machine malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following company housekeeping standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of CNC machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Basic math skills including decimals, fractions, and measurements.

Safety and Quality Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Perform in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Report nonconforming materials, safety hazards, or process concerns immediately.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 40–50 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, moving mechanical equipment, and production materials.

Expected pay for this role is between $25.27 to $27.64 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
