JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager to join our growing team.

Under the guidance of Director of Continuous Improvement, the Regional Continuous Improvement Manager will facilitate and teach CI initiatives designed to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities, decrease variation in processes, and improve performance in People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory. This position will be hands on to teach, coach, and facilitate improvements using various CI methodologies across the business.

 

What You Will Do

  • Work with Business Unit leadership and teams to define and execute improvements needed to achieve required business results.
  • Provide CI guidance to Business Unit leadership and teams on concepts that will support business improvements required.
  • Work with sites to coach/develop Continuous Improvement resources and leaders to support the growth in capability (Education and Training) for sustaining continuous improvement.
  • This position will facilitate and co-facilitate various CI related workshops, training events, Wave projects, etc. for improvement results that can be leveraged across plants and product lines.
  • Ensures that education, training, tools, assessments, and resources are available to employees at all levels and are being utilized appropriately and effectively across the business.
  • Provide progress reporting to Continuous Improvement Director of North America for tracking results to strategic plans and KPI’s.
  • Work across business practices to remove barriers and streamline processes by understanding internal and external customer requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

 

Who You Are

  • At least three (3) to five (5) years’ experience leading continuous improvement in manufacturing operations and/or other business functions, educating others on CI principles and deployment planning.
  • Hands on experience using continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN / TPS, Six-Sigma) and concepts (Pull, GEMBA, A3 Thinking, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Be proficient in guiding root-cause analysis (A3 Problem Solving, 8D, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Basic Microsoft Office and applicable JELD-WEN software applications required.
  • Ability to plan and carry out projects independently while working effectively in a diverse work group.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Multi-location and operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to write reports, procedures, correspondences.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with direct reports and influence on those with whom there is not a reporting relationship.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thought processes to develop, recommend and implement strategies and programs that address business objectives.
  • Ability to work and operate under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Proven facilitation skills   
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills up and down the organizational hierarchy to include corporate offices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in continuous improvement.  Determined by hiring manager.

Expected pay for this role is between $93,800.00 to $156,400.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.​
