JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Group Lead to join our growing team.
The Group Lead is responsible for the direction of a departmental workforce, under the supervision of a Group Manager (Front Line Supervisor) or Manager. Assists in production, including repetitive work station or line assembly operations, to mass produce interior and exterior doors and their components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
• Read and interpret production schedule and other production related documents.
• Coordinates work activities with management.
• Familiar with the basic machine functions and able to set-up according to production schedule.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions of product.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• This is a full-time position and requires regular attendance.

Education/Experience:
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. HS diploma or equivalent required.
Language Ability:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Expected pay for this role is between $28.04 to $30.68 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
