Role Summary & Purpose
Our Sr. FP&A analyst is responsible for driving forward & supporting the operational activity of the plant organization, as business partner to the plant operations/support services leads, providing financial oversight & supporting key operational, business & strategic decisions.
As a team member of the FP&A team, it is essential that you are a selfdriven “go getter” who are dedicated to deliver the financial advice within the larger matrix corporate manufacturing company, where you are able to understand, communicate and extract the right information from the financial reporting, leadership meetings etc.
The role is based in Estonia
What your impact will be
- Production/Review of monthly management accounts for Plant
- Prepare Monthly actual & Quarterly forecast Plant walks with succinct commentary (Actual vs Expected, Actual Vs PY)
- Co-ordinate compilation for plant the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast packs, and monthly actuals focusing on P&L, Balance Sheet, Capex and relevant commentary thereon
- Challenge plants on assumptions and rationale behind plans/forecasts, to ensure robust and achievable targets
- Take ownership of performance analysis (e.g overhead control/labour analysis), highlighting trends vs. plan and prior year, with reference to future actions to be taken
- Ability to translate financial and non-financial operational metrics into actionable operating plans to support key stakeholders in driving the business forward
- Support the delivery of financial assessment of key operational activities and new business opportunities whilst mitigating risks
- Support Initiative Owners from ideation to execution & tracking of Plant specific initiatives
- Support Head of FP&A in Cost Plus transfer pricing updates
- Review and recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
- Stock costing and analysis
- Analyzing capital projects prior to approvals & post appraisals for return on investment
- Performs all other duties as assigned
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working in a multi country/cultural role
- Excellent business acumen and sound financial understanding of what underpins performance along with the ability to communicate numeric and financial information to non-Finance stakeholders
- Good relationship management and influencing skills
- Experience within a sizeable Manufacturing or Construction business
- Ability to challenge the status quo and facilitate a continuous improvement culture
- Comfortable working with big data sets and translating results into meaningful analysis and incorporating into forecasts
- Advanced excel skills with experience and initiative in building robust financial models
- Experience working in a global matrix managed organization
