The Project Manager for Retail is responsible for overseeing key retail projects to ensure they are completed on time.  This role requires a range of skills from planning and designating project resources to monitoring progress and keeping stakeholders informed. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 


Principle Duties and Responsibilities


  • Define project scope, requirements and resources needed to reach objectives
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Manage projects, requests for information and any other business items as requested by leadership



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


  • Superior communication skills to present concepts & ideas to all stakeholders
  • Apply superior presentation skills & sense of timing to push back when necessary
  • Manage relationships at all levels with confident command and respect for all stakeholders
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers
  • Demonstrated ability to retain & nurture key relationships over time
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Customer Relationship Management software, Expense Reporting Program, and Internet Web Browser
  • Location:  Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC


Education and Experience


  • Bachelors’ degree in business or related field
  • 2-3 years of project management and related experience
  • Travel required: 10% or greater
